Wearable computers help make individual soldiers part of the digital battlefield, with wearable computing the soldiers of the future are most likely going to be the strongest of the practical application of wearable technology. Armed forces from different countries are seeing the solution for many battlefield necessities .
Wearable computers devices that are attached or integrated into an individual’s clothing were once considered mostly useful as big maintenance devices but are now considered to be the electronic heart of the soldier of the future. The technology is also helping to improve law enforcement and anti-terrorism efforts.
Soldiers use functional Clothing, the concept of functional clothing design addresses the ability of clothing to assist the soldiers body’s natural mechanisms to regulate temperature, manage moisture transport, protect from environmental hazards, and resist impact and abrasion.
Military applications for wearable computers in the past typically included maintenance electronics and medical devices to help experts quickly diagnose equipment malfunctions and soldiers’ wounds in the field. computers are being developed that are wired into clothing and have the capability to track enemy targets, network the soldier with air, land, and sea forces, monitor his physical health, and even translate native languages.
Wearable computers will help infantryman use digitally distributed orders, maps, and intelligence. This is no mean feat; these soldiers fight on foot, so their electronic gear must be light, rugged, and easy to use. Wireless technology enables each soldier to communicate seamlessly with his comrades within a networked unit.
By looking this up to an augmented reality platform like Google Glass, however, soldiers can aim the gun without actually looking at their targets, shooting around corners or over hills and barricades. this is really simple and easy to attack your enemy.
Soldiers would have the capability to exchange video of what they see with each other via miniature cameras interfaced with lightweight wearable computers. Many military wearable computers are designed with the total integration of man and system in mind.
